Scan the existing blog

Check published topics before saving a new article brief.

Content Hub checks your public blog to reduce duplicate article topics. This scan reads existing pages; it does not import them as editable Content Hub articles or change your website.

Run the first scan

  1. Open Content Hub → Services for the correct project.
  2. Find Existing blog and select Scan blog.
  3. Wait for the scan to finish.
  4. Inspect the result and open existing articles when you need to understand their subject.

A completed scan may confirm that no articles were found. A failed or partial scan is not an empty blog and does not unlock article creation.

The scanner uses public pages, sitemaps, and feeds on the project's site. A login wall, blocked requests, missing discovery links, or a very large site can prevent a complete result. Ask your webmaster to check public access; do not disable security across the whole website.

Keep the inventory fresh

A successful inventory is valid for 24 hours. Use Refresh blog when it expires. A domain change or a CMS publication can invalidate it sooner.

During a refresh, an earlier successful inventory may remain usable until its validity ends. A failed refresh does not extend that validity. If a publication is unresolved, recover its result first, then refresh the blog.

Resolve a duplicate warning

Use Open existing article to inspect a matching post. If it already answers your question, update that article through your normal website workflow instead of generating a competing copy.

For a genuinely different article, use Edit topic and change both the title and the question the article answers. Replacing punctuation or a few words is not a distinct topic. Service-based suggestions are checked too.

The matching system is a duplicate-topic safeguard, not a plagiarism certificate or a guarantee that all semantic overlap has been found.

Resume a blocked draft

If generation stopped because the blog check became invalid, open the existing brief, refresh the scan, revise and save the topic if needed, and complete any required brief approval. Retry the same failed article rather than creating another copy.
